My name is Leo (they/them/theirs), and I am hoping to begin a new chapter in my life. On a somber note, my marriage has just ended, and it is time for me to move forward. I do believe in silver linings, and recently, I was offered a new position in Asheville, NC to be a professional industrial sewist. If you know me, you know that I am a self-taught sewist who has been developing my sewing skillset for almost 10 years now. I am overjoyed to announce that I have accepted this employment offer to begin in August 2026!
I am now asking my community for support relocating from Durham, NC, to Asheville, NC, in this time of great need. This new job presents an opportunity for me to become much more financially stable in the future. It is difficult for me to ask for support on this level, but I am choosing to be brave in this moment of my life. I am immeasurably grateful for any support you can offer.
All funds raised will go towards my first month's rent, utilities setup costs, moving vehicle costs, home furnishings, and any other small expenses that may arise directly related to this move. I have read that the average move can cost from $3000 up to $6000, so I am setting my goal to $4000.
