The American Heart Association is very near and dear to me as is staying heart healthy. Together we can help aid the local and National Go Red for Women activities to support awareness, research, education and community programs to benefit women. These funds help women by offering educational programs, advancing women’s understanding about their risk for heart disease and providing tools and motivation to help women reduce their risk to protect their health. I am not only raising fund so that women can be seen, to be counted, to be heard, and to make an impact, but also in memory of my Great Grandmother Rita and my Tita Gina. Together, we are stronger than heart disease and stroke. Together, we can Go Red to help save more women’s lives.

Miss America and Miss America's Teen National Scholarships are awarded by a separate non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the Miss America's Scholarship Foundation Inc. This collaboration provides funds for national awards, and in addition, both Miss America's/Miss America's Teen State Scholarships and the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement. The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women is Miss America's Scholarship Foundation's national health thought leader. All above mentioned entities are 501(c)(3) organizations and all donations to this campaign are fully tax-deductible per IRS regulations.
