For the last 3 months, I have been in contact with my friend Samar and her young brother Ahmed in Gaza. Before the aggression, Samar was on track to start her first year at University and young Ahmed was starting first grade. Since their home was bombed in an Israeli airstrike, they have been displaced multiple times, now living in a tent and facing intense famine. I am creating this fundraiser so that these two young siblings can afford to eat amidst the blockade which has kept any food, water, or medical aid to enter Gaza since March 2nd. One bag of flour alone can cost upwards of $600 USD. Samar and Ahmed live with the hope that they can one day exist without the threat of death or occupation consuming their lives.
