*Hi, I’m Tracy. I live in a rural part of Madison County, NC, near Max Patch. It’s a beautiful place, but jobs are scarce, and just getting to town for basics or doctor visits can be a challenge. I can’t afford to move right now, but I’m grateful to have a roof over my head.
I work part-time and have more hours starting soon, and I’ve filed a legal claim for wages I’m owed. But while I wait for that to process, I’ve sold everything of value just to hang on—and now my cabinets are almost bare. My dogs still have food, thank goodness, but my light bill is way behind, and I’m running out of options.
Where your help will go:
– Catching up my overdue light bill so I don’t lose power
– Gas to get to necessary doctor visits (insurance covers the visits, but I can’t get there without gas)
– Groceries and dog food
I don’t qualify for government help, even though I’ve gone without more times than I can count. This isn’t forever—I’m working hard to get back on my feet—but right now, I can’t do it alone.
I’ll post receipts and updates so you can see exactly what your kindness does. Thank you for helping me hold on until better days come.*
