My mother Susan Struebing has always been the bread winner when we were growing as youngsters. As the years went by her kids grew older and had children of their own. She has been an important piece of each of their lives from Alyssa Gilbert to Alaina Fair sue has been there through it all. As time tends to do over the years things slow down and my mother has lost a step or two being diagnosed with diabetes 4 years ago has taken a toll on her nursing career which she enjoyes for the past 25 years. But her love for nurturing still holds strong with the time she spends with her youngest of grand children Hayden, Jaxson, Oliver, and now Alaina. So last night when her house caught fire she seems solid but deep inside devastated. The place where my child calls home is burnt and dirty. It's also my mom gramgrams home and she deserves to have a place to enjoy these ever so important developmental years with her grandchildren. Which is why I'm raising enough money to pay her rent for a year to get her a little cushion and back on her feet. Not all heros wear capes but my mother dam well should. I love you gramgram. It will be ok.
