**Help Debra and David Marshall Rebuild Their Home After a Tragic Fire**

On December 20th, Debra and David Marshall faced a devastating loss when their home in Bartlesville was destroyed by a fire. Now, they are in need of assistance to replenish the basics and rebuild their lives. Your contribution can make a significant difference in helping this family get back on their feet.

We are aiming to raise at least $15,000 to support Debra and David during this difficult time. Your donation will provide them with the essentials they need to move forward and start anew. Together, we can offer them hope and comfort in the face of such a tragedy.

Debra is known for her boundless generosity and kindness, always putting others before herself. Let's come together to show our appreciation for her selflessness by helping them in their time of need.

**Thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping Debra and David Marshall rebuild their home.**

**Update on the Marshall family:**

Debra and David are adjusting as best as possible given the circumstances. They spent Christmas with family and got a little rest.

They are currently staying in temporary accommodations for about a month while an insurance-affiliated company assists them in finding a short-term apartment. Debra is excited the extended stay has a kitchen and is looking forward to cooking again. They both have sufficient clothing and hygiene items thanks to generous support and donations.

Debra expressed her deep gratitude, saying, "I can’t thank people enough. It’s truly amazing how generous individuals who don’t even know us have been."

The couple is considering whether to rebuild their home or relocate when their insurance settlement is finalized. Either way, they have many tasks ahead of them in recreating a home.

I spoke with Debra this afternoon, and she shared how overwhelmed she and David were by the love and care they received from both Debra's FCS family, and their church family. They attended church this morning, and Debra said, "This has been a horrendous disaster, but I've never seen such love and support. It's beautiful."

The Marshall family is currently staying in a hotel through Monday, after which they will be staying with relatives through the Christmas holiday.

Debra and David met with the Red Cross yesterday and have received funding to purchase some additional clothing and hygiene items.

David is meeting with their insurance company on Monday, and they hope to gain clarity on their options for continued temporary housing and plans for more permanent accommodations.

At this point, Debra anticipates they will be renting an apartment while they rebuild or search for a new home. She and David are using funds from the Spot Fund to cover deposits and initial rent until they have more certainty.

Regarding the generous offers of furniture and household goods, Debra and David currently have no place to store those items but will definitely reach out when their housing situation stabilizes. They will be grateful to accept these donations as their needs evolve.

The family is deeply thankful for your kindness and solidarity. Your continued support means so much as they navigate this difficult journey.

Thank you for the overwhelming support!

Debra updated us this morning, and we’re grateful to share that friends and family are surrounding her and her loved ones with care. The pastor of their church has arranged a few nights' stay at a hotel, and dear friends have helped provide clothing and essential hygiene items. The Red Cross is also meeting with Debra and her family today. Debra shared, "Everyone has been so kind and generous."
