Help Me Save Luna
Luna isn’t just my dog—she is my soulmate. She is the quiet comfort in my darkest days, the joy in every morning, and the purest love I have ever known. She’s not “just a pet.” She’s family. She’s my best friend. She is my soul dog.
Luna came into my life during a time when everything felt uncertain. My mental health was at its lowest. I felt lost, isolated, and hopeless. But then came Luna—with her kind eyes, her gentle presence, and a heart so big it held pieces of me I didn’t know were broken. She gave me something to hold on to when I didn’t think I could keep going. And she never once left my side.
She’s been with me through everything—through the healing, through the milestones, through life. She was there when I got engaged. She was there when I got married. She was there when we bought our first home. She is the one constant, comforting, unshakable presence I’ve had through every chapter of my adult life.
And now, she needs me.
Luna recently developed a large lump near her throat. After countless vet visits, tests, bloodwork, ultrasounds and a CT scan, we learned she has a rare issue with her salivary gland that must be surgically removed. It’s a delicate and expensive surgery, but if we don’t do it, her condition could worsen—leading to serious complications and pain. She’s going through so much… but you’d never know it by the way she still wags her little nub tail, offers kisses, and stays pressed against my side every night.
She is still full of life, still fighting, still loving.
The surgery and post-op care are estimated to cost around $6,500 plus more as needed. A couple generous family members offered to help, but we don’t want to put that entire weight on them. That’s why I’m asking for help—from my community, from fellow dog lovers, from anyone who understands the bond between a girl and her dog.
