Mountains for Everyone: Giving People with Disabilities the Ride of a Lifetime

Fundraising Goal: $60,000

Everyone Deserves a Little Adventure!

Imagine the wind blowing across your face, the smell of fresh mountain air, the sound of a creek running through the woods, and the breathtaking views of the Appalachian Mountains.

Now imagine being told that because of a disability, those experiences might be out of your reach.

I believe adventure should have no limits, and a disability should never mean missing out on the beauty and excitement life has to offer.

My name is Jason, and I’m starting this fundraiser with one simple goal: to give people with disabilities the opportunity to experience the Appalachian Mountains from the seat of a side-by-side, regardless of their physical limitations.

Why This Means So Much to Me

I’ve spent a lot of time in the mountains and on the trails. There’s something special about getting away from everyday life, riding through the woods, taking in the views, and enjoying the freedom that comes with being outdoors.

It’s something many of us take for granted.

But not everyone has that opportunity.

There are people who would love nothing more than to spend a day exploring the mountains, riding alongside friends and family, and experiencing the excitement of an off-road adventure. Unfortunately, physical disabilities, limited mobility, and a lack of accessible equipment can make those experiences extremely difficult or even impossible.

I want to help change that.

I want to see the smile on someone’s face when they experience their first mountain ride. I want families to have the chance to make memories together. I want people who have spent years watching others enjoy these adventures to finally have an opportunity to be part of them.

Because sometimes, something as simple as a ride through the mountains can mean more to someone than we could ever imagine.

Not Every Adventure Has to Be Extreme

One of the most important parts of this mission is understanding that every person’s abilities, comfort level, and idea of adventure are different.

The Appalachian Mountains offer a wide variety of riding experiences.

Some trails are rugged, rocky, steep, and challenging. Others offer a more relaxed ride through beautiful wooded areas, along mountain streams, and to scenic overlooks.

My goal is to provide different riding experiences based on each person’s abilities, needs, and comfort level.

For some, that might mean a gentle, scenic ride where they can enjoy the mountains without the bumps and challenges of more adventurous trails.

For others, who are physically able and want a little more excitement, it might mean experiencing more adventurous terrain with appropriate equipment and safety precautions.

Nobody should feel pressured to take on a trail they’re uncomfortable with, and nobody should feel left out because they can’t handle the roughest trails.

The goal isn’t to see how extreme we can make the ride.

The goal is to make the experience unforgettable.

What Will the $60,000 Be Used For?

I’m hoping to raise $60,000 to help turn this dream into a reality.

Donations will go toward building a safe, accessible, and dependable riding experience, including:

● Purchasing suitable side-by-side vehicles for guided mountain rides.

● Making accessibility modifications and adding adaptive equipment where needed.

● Installing appropriate seating, restraints, and other safety equipment.

● Purchasing helmets and protective riding gear.

● Covering insurance, maintenance, transportation, and operating expenses.

● Planning rides on trails that accommodate different mobility levels and physical abilities.

My hope is to make these experiences available to people who might otherwise never have the opportunity, without the financial burden of paying for an expensive off-road adventure.

This Is About More Than Just Riding

This isn’t simply about taking someone for a ride on a side-by-side.

It’s about freedom.

It’s about inclusion.

It’s about giving someone something exciting to look forward to.

It’s about watching someone smile from ear to ear as they experience the beauty of the mountains.

It’s about reminding people that having a disability doesn’t mean they have to stop making memories, exploring the world, or enjoying life’s adventures.

And it’s about giving families the opportunity to see their loved ones experience something truly special.

Help Me Make This Dream a Reality

I know $60,000 is a big goal. But I also know that when good people come together for a good cause, incredible things can happen.

Whether you can donate $5, $20, $100, or simply share this fundraiser with your friends and family, every little bit brings us one step closer.

You may never meet the person whose adventure you help make possible.

You may never see their smile or hear their laughter as they ride through the mountains.

But you’ll know you helped give someone an experience they may remember for the rest of their life.

And to me, that’s worth every bit of effort it takes to make this happen.

The mountains belong to everyone. The memories should, too.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me bring this dream to life.

Let’s make the Appalachian Mountains an adventure everyone can experience!

— Jason
