Many of you know my dad, Jason — it’s almost impossible to go anywhere without running into someone he knows. He’s loud, friendly, and outgoing. The kind of man who never meets a stranger, always ready with a story or a helping hand.
He’s also going to be so mad when he finds out I made this post. 😅
A few months ago, everything changed. My dad faced a medical emergency that nearly took his life. Thanks to his wife, Pam, an incredible medical team, and no small amount of luck, he made it through a lifesaving surgery and is on the road to recovery.
But as you can imagine, the hospital bills that came afterward have been overwhelming. The first bill alone — just for the initial ER visit — totaled over $12,000. That doesn’t even include his second hospitalization, surgery, or the days he spent in recovery. Between follow-ups, medications, and ongoing care, it’s become a heavy financial burden for my parents.
My dad has spent his life helping others — now it’s our turn to help him.
