As most of you know, I and my son are in a severe domestic abuse situation we have recently fled. But it’s almost worse now. My husband has taken every cent out of our joint accounts, left us and the cats penniless, starving, and has stolen almost all of mine and my little boys property, including an electric scooter he uses to get to school. He has cut off our health insurance and ensured I have no access to any kind of means to take care of my child. I have a protection order against him, and he has broken it over and over and fled the state to avoid being arrested. He stole my 2024 Hyundai Elantra, my keys, and they keys to my new residence. The judge ordered he return my car and my keys, and he ignored this. He currently has felony strangulation charges, several misdemeanor charges from abuse in a child’s presence, and abuse of a child will be next, as soon as the police can find him to enforce the order and find him. Our next hearing is 9/25.
I need a way to get my little boy to school and to his counseling appointments, his doctor appointments (he has severe health issues) the grocery store, his friends houses etc. I can’t work without a vehicle, I’m getting hired places but I can’t get there to start working because I have no vehicle. My ex knows all this, which is why he stole my car and hid it. This is super embarrassing for me, but I care so much more about my little boy than my ego.
