This is one of the hardest things I've ever had to write because I've always struggled to ask for help.
I'm a college student, and over the past several months I loaned a significant amount of money to someone I trusted while they were going through an incredibly difficult time. I truly believed I was helping someone who needed it, and I expected to be repaid based on the timelines we discussed.
Unfortunately, those timelines kept changing, and the repayment has been delayed far longer than I anticipated.
As a result, I've found myself in a financial situation I never expected to face. I've had to rely on my credit card to cover everyday expenses, and I'm now in the red trying to keep up with bills and basic necessities. To make matters more stressful, my work hours and pay have been inconsistent, making it even harder to recover financially.
My family doesn't know the extent of what I'm going through. I'm doing everything I can to handle this on my own, but I've reached a point where I need to ask for help.
This fundraiser isn't about placing blame on anyone. I still hope the money I'm owed will eventually be repaid. Right now, though, I can't afford to wait any longer. I simply need help staying afloat while I work through this situation.
