Hi, my name is A.
For a long time, college lived in the “someday” part of my life. It was a dream I cared about deeply, but one I continued to postpone while waiting for the timing and circumstances to feel right.
This fall, I am changing that.
I am preparing to become a first-generation college student and pursue a passion that has stayed with me for years: understanding people and learning how to support and advocate for them in meaningful ways.
From a young age, I was curious about what shapes us—the way our minds and bodies work, the importance of our overall health, and how our families, environments, and experiences influence the way we move through life. Over time, that curiosity developed into a deeper purpose.
Through ministry, work, and life experience, I have already had opportunities to serve and support others. My education will allow me to build upon that foundation through deeper knowledge, professional preparation, and a greater ability to advocate alongside individuals and families whose needs or voices may sometimes be overlooked.
I hope to serve people across different communities, circumstances, and stages of life. I want my work to remind others that their present circumstances do not have to determine the rest of their story. I also hope my own journey encourages someone else to take a step toward the dream they may have placed in the “someday” part of their life.
For me, becoming a college student is about more than earning a degree. It is an opportunity to expand the ways I can serve others and turn a long-held passion into work that carries purpose beyond myself.
This fundraiser is one part of making that vision possible. The funds raised will support the practical costs connected to my education, personal development, and related service or community-based projects that help me continue learning, growing, and putting that knowledge into action.
My immediate hope is to raise as much support as possible before the fall semester begins on August 31. Any support received after that date will continue to help throughout my college journey and the work connected to it.
