Support the Wilson Family in Their Time of Tragedy
In the span of just one week, Melissa Wilson and her three boys have suffered unimaginable loss. They tragically lost Todd Wilson, a devoted husband and father, to a sudden stroke, and just days later, Melissa’s beloved mother, “Grammy Boo,” passed away as well.
Todd was a proud veteran who served his country with honor. He was a man of integrity, dedication, and kindness—a loving husband, a devoted father, and a valued member of the community. Due to a previous medical condition, Todd was unable to secure life insurance, leaving Melissa and their boys without a financial safety net. Medical bills are mounting, and the cost of funeral arrangements for both Todd and Grammy Boo is an added stress during an already devastating time.
To make things even worse, Melissa was just beginning to heal from grieving the loss of her younger brother, Darren, who passed away last year. Now, she is faced with yet another unbearable tragedy, trying to hold her family together while processing so much pain. Beyond the financial strain, Melissa and her boys are in deep emotional distress. Their high-school-aged son, RJ, was the one who found his father unresponsive and desperately attempted CPR while waiting for EMTs to arrive. The trauma of that moment is something no child should ever have to endure. Now, more than ever, the family needs access to grief counseling and emotional support to help them cope with these heartbreaking losses.
On top of everything, Melissa’s three boys are at critical points in their education. Two are already in college, and her youngest will be heading off soon. The financial strain of tuition, travel costs, and ensuring they can come home to see their mother during this difficult time is immense. We want to help ease this burden so that Melissa and her boys can focus on healing, being together, and securing their futures.
Melissa, a cherished member of our community and our favorite local realtor, has always given so much to those around her. Now, it’s our turn to give back. We want to ensure that she and her boys have the time, space, and support they need to grieve and heal.
We ask for your prayers, love, and support. If you are able, please consider making a donation—no amount is too small. Every contribution will help ease their burden, covering funeral expenses, medical bills, grief counseling, travel for her boys to visit home, and the cost of their college education.
With love and gratitude, we thank you for standing with the Wilson family during this heartbreaking time.
