Help Us Honor the Life & Legacy of Ashaber,
On August 6, 2026, our family received the heartbreaking news that our beloved uncle, father, brother, and friend, Ashaber, had suffered a heart attack and passed away while traveling to Ethiopia on vacation.
We could have never imagined that this would be the way we would lose him. His passing was completely unexpected, and our family is heartbroken as we try to process this tremendous loss.
Ashaber was a huge light. His infectious laugh, his big personality, and his incredibly kind heart are just some of the things we will deeply miss. He had a way of making his presence known and bringing joy wherever he went. Ashaber was known by many, far and wide, and loved by so many.
He was a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, and he meant something different and special to each person whose life he touched. His absence will be felt deeply—not only by our family, but by the many people who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
As our family comes together to grieve and honor his life, we are also facing unexpected financial costs associated with his passing while he was abroad. These expenses include funeral and memorial costs, travel expenses for family, transportation, and other costs that have arisen as we lay him to rest.
We are asking our family, friends, community, and everyone who knew and loved Ashaber to help us carry some of this unexpected financial burden. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help us honor Ashaber and give him the homegoing and celebration of life that he deserves.
