In many rural communities, menstruation can become a major barrier to education.
For some girls, buying menstrual pads every month is simply not affordable. In some villages, shops are far away, access to sanitary products is limited, and girls may have no reliable access to clean water or private sanitation facilities.
As a result, some girls miss several days of school every month while they are menstruating.
Missing school repeatedly can mean falling behind in class, losing confidence, and struggling to keep up with other students. For vulnerable girls, what begins as a few missed days can eventually contribute to dropping out of school altogether.
We Want to Help Change That.
Dignity in Every Cycle is a community-focused campaign designed to provide girls in rural communities with reusable menstrual pad kits, menstrual health education, and practical training on menstrual hygiene and pad care.
Our goal is not simply to provide menstrual products. We want to create a sustainable support system that can continue helping girls after the initial distribution.
Reusable menstrual products can be used repeatedly when properly cared for, helping reduce the ongoing cost of menstrual supplies for families.
We also plan to work with local women and community members by providing training on menstrual health, proper pad care, hygiene, and the management of community menstrual pad banks.
