My twin sister has been struggling with debilitating illnesses that include, Gastroparesis, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Sjogren's Syndrome, Mast Cell Activation Disorder, Chronic Migraines, and Ehlers Danos Syndrome for 14 years. She vomits all day everyday and is beyond miserable. Despite our best efforts to find help, we can no longer afford to take her to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, where she has previously received treatment. The Mayo Clinic is the best option for her complex condition, but the cost of treatment has become unaffordable for our family.
My sister's condition has left her bedridden, and she is constantly in pain. Because of this, she has lost her medical insurance that otherwise would have helped to cover treatment. She has tried various treatments, but nothing has provided her with the relief she so desperately needs. We have tried to find alternative treatments, but they have not been effective. The Mayo Clinic is our last hope for finding a solution to her illnesses.
