I am in desperate need of a new caregiver. My current one has become more and more abusive and neglectful as time goes by. I have been trying to replace her for the last 3 months and I've only gotten one nibble, that didn't work out. I am being punished when I make her mad, told to shut up, I am supposed to wear braces on my legs every time I leave the house. It is a total nightmare she yells and gets aggressive and has hurt me while getting them on. She is supposed to cook 3meals a day and prepare them according to a special diet that I am on. Not only does she not adhere to the diet she will make enough food in one day that I can heat up for the week. That means eating the same meal 14 times a week. Then there is my skin care. I need it done all over my body and it's required by my doctor to be done every day and she's done it twice in at least 6 months. This actually causes me to get sores and tears on my skin.
My best friend of almost 40 years and I were on the phone often together and she has heard the way I am spoken to and treated. She wants desperately to help me but she is almost 3,000 miles away and is not in the financial state to be able to afford the cost of the move. It would be a great thing for her to move here as well. I know that she will treat me with the love and dignity that every disabled person deserves. So please help us help each other.
It will take at least 4 days to get here and 5 if th snow is bad. She needs a small Uhaul truck and a tow dolly. Plus gas, food, and lodging. The Uhaul is costing a small fortune and we all know how insane gas prices are. Even food has skyrocketed. So we really need your assistance and help. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
