Hi everyone!! It's Lily and it's that time of year again, the time of year we open our hearts and wallets to give to the sweet boys and girls of the Children's Home Society of North Carolina. This year I have decided to do something a little different to make it a bit more interactive for those who donate. I will be adding one link to make things easy and fast! Choose a store and you will see I have created a list for each age group as well as some seperate ones such as gaming, educational, sensory and my most favorite the "cozy corner" which includes things like socks, blankets, books, and other "cozy" items. I will also have a list with just giftcards for older kids to stores they like to shop at. These lists I have created will allow you to shop for items that you want to give instead of just donating directly to me which obviously is still completely acceptable and available. I just have had so much fun in the past shopping that I wanted you all to be able to experience that as well. OK SO I know I had said that I was most excited about "cozy corner" BUT I am excited to share with you a new idea I have come up with I'm calling it "give a kid a backpack" here's my plan....I would like to purchase at least 10 backpacks (hopefully more) and fill each one with 5-10 small school supplies and be able to donate the filled backpacks to the same kids who are in need of these items for school. I know coming from a big family that my mom & dad have spent so much money just on supplies for us that I can only imagine how much money it would cost to make sure all those kids have what they need to go to school. I hope that you all will help me achieve my goal of $4000 dollars this year just like you all did last year. I am trying to double last years goal. My toy drive will officially start November 1st and go until around the 1st or 2nd week in December but I will be posting a week or so earlier in October so I can start sharing.
I will continue to collect money and go shopping, do lives and post lots of photos like I always have before. I just wanted to say a big thank you in advance to all of you I couldn't do this without you. I still can't believe this is my 3rd year!
