For Grace’s 8th birthday, she isn’t asking for toys or gifts, she’s asking to give back.
She learned to ride at Eden Healing Center, a place that became so much more than a barn to her. It’s where she built confidence, found calm, and formed a deep connection with horses, especially one very special horse who means the world to her ‘Layla’ 💕
Eden Healing Center is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating horses, many of whom have come from neglect or difficult situations. These horses are given a second chance, not just to heal physically, but to help others heal too. Through lessons and simple time spent together, they provide emotional support, connection, and peace to so many people.
Over the last year, the rescue has taken on significant veterinary expenses for two of their horses, one injured and one seriously ill. Thankfully, both horses are healing and doing much better, but the financial impact of their care is still being felt.
On top of that, the organization is now navigating an unexpected transition and working to secure a new location to continue their program. Finding and moving to a suitable property for the horses is a major expense, and it’s added to the financial strain they are working through.
If you’ve ever met these horses, you know how special they are. They are some of the sweetest, most gentle, and well-behaved horses we’ve ever encountered. They are safe, loving, and truly incredible partners for the people who spend time with them.
Instead of birthday gifts, my daughter wants to help raise money for the horses who have given her so much, especially the one she loves most- Layla.
This fundraiser is about coming together as a community to support something truly meaningful. Eden Healing Center creates a space where both horses and people can heal, grow, and simply feel better.
A big part of what makes this program so special is its owner, Jessica. She is kind, patient, and deeply devoted to both the horses and the children who come through her program. She teaches with so much heart, creating a safe and encouraging space where kids can learn, grow, and truly connect with horses. Her care and dedication are a huge part of why this place means so much to our family and so many others.
