My name is Shawnette, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my brother, Jeff Green, and his family after the unimaginable loss of his beloved wife, April Green.
Our family was forever changed when April was on her way to work and was tragically killed after another vehicle struck hers in a devastating collision. No family is ever prepared for a loss like this, and the grief is beyond words.
April had just celebrated her 40th birthday earlier this year. She was a dedicated nurse at GEO in Karnes City as a Health Services Administrator who worked tirelessly to provide for her family. April was the heart of their home and the rock of her family. As the primary provider, she worked hard to ensure her family had everything they needed, always putting them before herself. She was strong, patient, kind, and selfless—a loving wife and an incredible mother whose greatest joy was her family.
April and Jeff were high school sweethearts who shared 24 years of marriage. Like any family, they faced life's challenges together, but they remained committed to raising their children and building a life centered on love and family.
April leaves behind her loving husband, Jeff Green, and their three children: Haylee, Devon, and their youngest son, Korbyn. She was incredibly proud of each of them and was their biggest supporter. She taught them the value of hard work, resilience, kindness, and unconditional love. Everything she did was for her family.
As Jeff, Haylee, Devon, and Korbyn begin the heartbreaking journey of life without April, they are also facing the overwhelming financial burden that comes with losing the family's primary provider. The funds raised will help with funeral and memorial expenses, household bills, and other immediate needs, providing stability as they grieve and begin to navigate this unimaginable new reality.
