Support Kendra & Ris: A Family's Healing Journey

My name is Jen and I am reaching out to our community to ask for help. I have 2 friends, Kendra and Ris who are going through some unexpected hard times currently. They have kids, bills and a chaotic life, who doesn't right!? Ris has been excelling with additional schooling to continue her career as an RN. Kendra was working, but needed to be home more and her job decided to let her go, even though she wasn't looking to be unemployed. While fiercely job searching, she is holding down the entire fort to keep Ris focused on school. If that crap storm didn't suck enough, Ris was walking down some stairs recently, fell and broke her leg. While dealing with limited mobility, she developed 2 blood clots in her lungs and life turned real scarey for her and her family. Kendra has even more on her plate now, keeping her wife, their kids, and their home functioning, while keeping her emotions together for her family. It will be some time before Ris can get back to work. Kendra is still looking for employment, with a vehicle that needs tires and other fixes. The upcoming school year is here and they had not gotten around to buying their kids the supplies needed and some new clothes and shoes. In the meantime, I am wanting to help them however I am able.
