On October 22, our sweet Nephew Banks Mohwinkle was welcomed with open arms into this world, perfectly happy and healthy. On what should have been such a joyous occasion quickly turned scary as our Sister, Danika was losing quite a bit of blood. After much testing she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. After receiving the heavy news of such diagnoses, Danika was rushed to the ICU at the University of Iowa Hospitals where she started chemothearpy and has been ever since. She will receive treatment for up to 30 days before she is allowed home with Ben and her boys. She will be out of work for an undisclosed amount of time.
The money raised will help with immediate financial costs. We all want Danika to focus on healing without worrying about any financial burdens that may arise during this trying time.
