Our Intake is CLOSED AGAIN – We Need Your Help to Reopen It! 🚨

For over 11 years, Road to Home Rescue Support has been a lifeline for the abandoned, the sick, and the forgotten—giving over 1,400 dogs and cats the second chance they deserve. But today, we face a heartbreaking reality again.

πŸ’” Our intake is CLOSED. The desperate pleas for help haven’t stopped, but without funding, we are forced to say no to:
🐾 Dogs trembling in shelters, waiting for rescue
🐾 Medical cases on the brink of euthanasia
🐾 Dogs suffering on the streets, alone and in pain
🐾 The ones who need us most

Our mission has never changed. We take in the toughest cases—broken bones, heartworm, amputations, severe neglect—the animals with nowhere else to go. But right now, we’re drowning in medical bills and simply cannot save another life without your help.

🚨 We need to raise a minimum of $15,000 to reopen our intake. 🚨

This amount will cover just one critical medical case—Lane’s urgent hospitalization, where she fought for her life in an oxygen tank for an entire week. We never gave up on her, and we refuse to give up on the others who still need us. But we cannot continue without your support.

πŸ’™ Please donate today:

If you can’t donate, please share. It truly makes a difference.

🚨 Every moment we wait, more animals are at risk. 🚨  We need YOU to help us open our intake again and say YES to the next animal in need.πŸ’™ Please donate today:πŸ”— Even $5 can save a life. If every one of our 16,000 followers donated today, we could open our doors immediately! If you can’t give, please share—it makes a difference.🐾 They are out there, waiting for us. Let’s not let them down.#SaveRescueAnimals #OpenOurIntake #EveryDollarCounts #RoadToHomeRescue

Ozzie's Out of the Hospital!🐾❀️ After 6 long nights in the hospital, sweet Ozzie was finally released today!

One of our amazing previous adopters stepped up and offered to foster him temporarily until his incredible regular foster—and vet—Dr. Busemi returns from out of town. We are beyond grateful for the village that continues to show up for him.  Ozzie has been through so much and still has a long road ahead. The good news is that the fluid in his chest has resolved, but he continues to battle the effects of Protein Losing Enteropathy (PLE). He’s now also on antibiotics for a UTI, a common side effect of the steroids he’s on to treat the PLE. He’s very thin due to his ongoing condition, and he still struggles with painful digestive issues. Some days it’s explosive diarrhea, and others—like today—he experiences severe constipation that can lead to prolapse. It’s heartbreaking, but Ozzie’s spirit remains strong. He is fighting, and so are we—for him.

Ozzie's most recent vet bill totaled $1,600, and we still need to raise $1,150 to cover it.  Our intake remains closed due to overwhelming medical expenses, but emergencies continue to arise for those already in our care. We simply can’t seem to get ahead—but we won’t give up.  Please consider donating toward his ongoing care:πŸ”Ή Every dollar helps us continue fighting for dogs like Ozzie.

Ozzie's Fighting Spirit Shines Through 🐾πŸ’ͺ❀️ Ozzie is still at the hospital, and we’re relieved to share that he’s improving. His breathing is stable when resting, though it increases slightly after walks. His appetite is back—a great sign—even though he hasn’t pooped yet today. We’re still waiting on his culture results and hoping he may be able to leave the hospital and go to a temporary foster as early as tomorrow! Through it all, Ozzy’s fighting spirit shines. ✨ He has endured so much, yet continues to push through with that same gentle, resilient heart that made everyone fall in love with him.  As many of you know, our intake remains closed due to the overwhelming medical expenses we are currently facing—cases like Ozzie’s are the reason why. These urgent, unexpected needs keep coming, and we cannot do this without your help. Please consider a donation to support Ozzie’s ongoing care. Every dollar makes a difference for him and the many other medical dogs who rely on us. #RescueDogRecovery #dogrescue  #RescueDogsRock #AnimalRescue #AdoptDontShop #EveryDollarCounts #DonateForDogs #RoadToHomeRescueSupport #MedicalDogs #SupportRescue

URGENT: Ozzie Needs Help Now Just as Ozzie was about to be dropped off at a temporary foster while his current foster (and our vet) is out of town, she noticed he was not himself—lethargic and breathing heavier than usual. Sweet Ozzie has been fighting hard through a tough medical journey with suspected Protein-Losing Enteropathy (PLE). While his bloodwork showed some improvement, an X-ray revealed fluid in his chest. The specialist was consulted and advised that he be medically boarded immediately for monitoring and care, at Vrec in Westbury. He is now at the specialist’s hospital being boarded at a discounted rate of $218/night, and we urgently need help to cover these costs. Our intake remains closed due to overwhelming medical expenses—but emergencies like this can’t wait. Please donate if you’re able and help us continue fighting for Ozzie. Every dollar helps.

🚨 URGENT UPDATE: LANE'S REMARKABLE RECOVERY AND PRESSING NEED FOR SUPPORT 🚨 Lane continues to defy all odds, showing significant improvement each day. Her upcoming cardiology follow-up on Tuesday will provide more insight into the next steps of her heartworm treatment. Currently, Lane is on two heart medications and a sedative to keep her calm, as she's regained much of her energy! Financial Update: Lane's medical expenses have now exceeded $16,000, with $3,600 raised so far. This leaves a remaining balance of $12,400 to cover her ongoing care. It's important to note that heartworm treatment is a multi-phase process, including diagnostics, medications, and strict rest, leading to continuous expenses. Additionally, the severity of her condition may influence the total cost. Due to these financial constraints, our medical intake remains closed until we can secure the necessary funds to support Lane and other urgent cases within our rescue. How You Can Help: Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to providing Lane with the care she desperately needs. Here's how you can donate: πŸ“© Please consider donating today to support Lane's recovery and help us continue our mission to save lives. #HelpLaneRecover #DonateToSaveLives #UnderdogRescue #HeartwormTreatm

🐾 Keep Our Rescue & Forever Foster Program Alive! 🐾

🚨 We’ve had to pause all new intakes due to overwhelming medical bills, putting our entire rescue at risk. A major part of our funds goes toward our Forever Foster Program, ensuring senior and special needs animals receive the medical care, love, and stability they deserve in their golden years. This program ensures they live out their lives in comfort, surrounded by love, without the fear of being abandoned again.

Right now, we’re caring for 7 dogs and 1 cat, including these two incredible seniors, in this program;

πŸ’– Meredith – Saved just in time from ACC, Meredith has endured emergency surgery, a partial mastectomy to remove tumors, and multiple procedures. Thanks to this program, she is now in a loving home with her amazing mom, Gina, receiving monthly Librela injections and regular bloodwork to keep her comfortable. Her medical bills have exceeded $16,200 and continue to rise.

πŸ’œ Destiny – Battling lymphoma and a tick-borne disease, Destiny is undergoing ongoing treatments, antibiotics, and soon another surgery to remove new masses. Because of our Forever Foster Program, she is in a home filled with love and care from her devoted mom, McKenzy. Her medical bills exceed $14,000, and she needs continued support.

These are just two of the many seniors we’ve saved. Recently adopted  and others in our care have required extensive medical treatment, pushing our vet bills to an unsustainable level.

πŸ“’ Without sponsors, our Forever Foster Program—and our rescue—may not survive. With your help, we can keep this program running and reopen our intake to save more lives.

🐢 For just 32 cents a day ($10/month), YOU can make a life-changing impact! Your monthly donation covers vet bills, medications, and food for these deserving animals.
