Support Independence Center’s Community Nursing Program
Bringing Free Health Care Screenings and Support to Underserved Communities
At Independence Center, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality health care—regardless of their income, insurance status, or background. For too many people in our community, basic health services are out of reach. That’s why we are working to expand our Community Nursing Program, which provides essential health care at no cost to the people who need it most.
Our community nurses are on the frontlines every day, offering:
-
Health Screenings – blood pressure, diabetes, and other vital checks to catch problems early.
-
Medical Referrals – connecting individuals to doctors, clinics, and treatment before conditions worsen.
-
Wound Care – helping community members avoid infections and complications.
-
Flu Shots & Preventive Care – protecting individuals and families, especially those with limited access to medical services.
These services are especially critical for underserved communities, where barriers to care often mean that people go without treatment until it becomes an emergency. By providing free, accessible health care where people live, we are preventing crises, improving health, and saving lives.
But we can’t do this alone. We need your help to keep this program strong and growing. Your donation will directly support the nurses, supplies, and resources needed to continue offering these lifesaving services to our neighbors at no charge.
Every dollar makes a difference. Together, we can build a healthier, stronger, and more compassionate community.
