We are going on a trip of a lifetime!! The 5th and 6th grade classes at Del Norte Elementary in Del Norte, CO have been given the opportunity to go on a field trip to Boston, MA for a historical colonial tour! We will be seeing first hand the history these kids have only read in a book. This is an amazing opportunity for a lot of these kids because some of them have never left the San Luis Valley in Southern Colorado.
Each student is responsible for raising their own money to support their trip. We will be gone for 5 days; their cost for going will cover airfare, hotel and 2 meals a day. My fellow teachers and I want them to remember this experience for a lifetime. We are helping fundraise to contribute towards those who are in financial need. I am one of the 6th grade teachers who is going on this trip with them. My goal is not only to help contribute to their cost, but to also have extra spending cash to spoil these kids with. I want to buy them sweatshirts and t-shirts and souvenirs and ice cream and lunch every day!
Help me show these students how our country was born and to walk the first streets of the United States. Any contribution you can make to creating a core memory for these 29 fifth and sixth graders would be so appreciated. I want these students to know that there is so much out there to see and experience.
