Help 70-Year-Old Recover From Financial Crisis

I fell behind on my rent due to vet costs for my dogs broken leg. I live paycheck to paycheck so when emergencies arise it’s very difficult for me to keep current on my rent. Many unfortunate events have affected me. I fell and broke 7 ribs my car was vandalized and due to a severe infection, I was hospitalized for 3 weeks and out of work for 4 months. I have never been able to get ahead of any of my finances since. I’m 70 years old. I do work but only part time. It usually takes my entire social security and pension income Plus a good part of my work income to just meet my monthly expenses. When I fall behind it’s impossible for me to catch up.
