On the evening of May 31st my daughter Samaiyah went out as a typical 18 yr old to enjoy a night out with friends at a bon fire. The young man who started to light the fire was using a gas can full of gas. We are not to sure of exactly what happened but what we think is that the flames either burnt the young man and he dropped the can into the fire or the gas going into the fire came back into the can and exploded. Samaiyah was wearing shorts and the flames came from the ground as well as in the air. She and quite a few others were seriously burnt. Samaiyah has 1st,2nd and 3rd degree burns from her knees down and is now requiring surgery. As a single mother and the only one in the home paying bills right now this has become a financial issue while already struggling to make ends meet. I am not one to ask for help and try to figure things out on my own but with traveling around 40 min to Tampa General every day with tolls and parking fees it is already adding up not to mention any hospital bills we may incur as well as care after she returns home. I know that everyone is struggling in life right now but anything will help especially prayers. If you're not able to donate please share our fundraiser as well as keep the prayers coming.
