The coronavirus pandemic has caused severe disruptions in all of our lives. Some of America's hardest working people have been hit the hardest. As the largest industry in the nation, the coronavirus has crippled restaurants and the livelihood of their employees. Closings are widespread with the result that the vast majority of restaurant employees are being laid off with little or no income. The entire staff, each of whom are dedicated to serving us daily, are now in need of us to serve them. THEY NEED OUR HELP!

My name is Dean Carras and this is my appeal. I've spent most of my life around restaurants, from working in my family's diner as a kid to building two national insurance brokerage companies focused exclusively on the hospitality industry, Innovative Coverage Concepts and Restaurant Programs of America, which recently merged with Arthur J. Gallagher. By starting these fundraising campaigns, I am asking my fellow service providers, restaurant patrons and friends to give back to an industry that has always been there for us. Imagine your life without your favorite dining spot...Nowhere to celebrate your birthday, to grab drinks with friends after a long week at work or to go out on date night. This is everyone's chance to make a difference in the lives of those people who helped us create our own special memories. Whether a little or a lot, every dollar counts.
