Approximately a year ago, I was faced with a terrible situation and suddenly needed to leave my home, which I had only been in for a year at that point. I had undergone emergency surgery, had an incident which left me in a coma for over 24 hours, and was trying to escape from an abusive relationship. I was absolutely lost and had no recourse.
A very good friend of mine came to me and made me an offer. Her dad had unexpectedly passed away and she had been left his house. She wanted me to rent it from her because she said she was very attached to the home and knew that I would take good care of it. A huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders at that time. I emptied out all of my retirement early and set out to moving all of my belongings and hiring movers and a U-Haul to move into my friend's vacant home. I've been here about a year now. Last week, a man knocked on my door and told me that he had purchased this house at auction. I found out later that something went wrong regarding the bank and the property (since it was an estate property), and it had been sent to auction right out from under my girlfriend's nose. So, the rug beneath me was pulled out once again. I stood there, crying, heart pounding, with no place in sight for my son, my beloved pets and me. Sadly, I know that all of my pets that I've rescued will not be able to come with me if I am forced to find a place to rent. It is almost impossible to find a rental that will allow three dogs and three cats. Plus the deposits and fees for all six would be more than I could possibly afford. But I simply can't leave them behind.
I desperately need to raise enough money by next month so that we can secure another place quickly. This money will go towards moving costs and a down payment on a small house or mobile trailer to live in so that I won't be forced to give up my pets.
Please help me. I am ashamed and embarrassed while writing this. I just don't know what else to do at this point.
Even a small contribution will make a huge difference and will be greatly appreciated.
