Help me get my daughter and I into safe living…. The pictures uploaded is the situation she be having her kids in and I can no longer sit and watch I am currently trying to raise $2,500 for the security deposit and move-in costs for a new place because my current living situation has become unstable and is no longer a safe or sustainable option for me. I moved in with a friend around the end of May or beginning of June with the understanding that we would split the rent and that I would also help with her children while she worked from home. Unfortunately, many of the arrangements we agreed upon before I moved in were not followed through. She initially told me that because she worked from home, I would be able to use the car to get to and from work, but after I moved in, she began restricting my access to the car, which ultimately caused me to lose my job. Because I lost my income, I was unable to contribute to the rent as originally planned, although I continued helping in other ways by cleaning, taking care of her children, and assisting around the home. I also tried to handle the situation responsibly by looking into rental assistance in June and asking her to apply as well, since my name was not on the lease, but she never followed through with the application. I recently obtained another job and was trying to get myself back on my feet, but she has now told me that I need to pack my belongings and leave, leaving me with very little time to secure another place.
During my time in the home, I have also witnessed conditions that have made me increasingly concerned, particularly regarding the care and supervision of the children. There have been times when the children did not appear to be properly fed and were eating things such as raw eggs from the sink and raw sausage. There have also been occasions when the children remained in soiled diapers or clothing, and I have stepped in to help care for them because I did not feel comfortable leaving them without attention. I have continued helping with the children and the household even when my own food or belongings were affected because I care about them and wanted to help. The home itself has also experienced serious problems, including the electricity, water, and gas being shut off at different times. I have also been told that she was significantly behind financially and that her vehicle was towed, which has added to the instability of the situation. Despite everything that has happened, I have continued trying to work, help where I can, and find a way forward. I am now asking for $2,500 so that I can secure stable housing, maintain my new employment, and finally have a safe and reliable place to live while rebuilding my financial stability because she told me to pack my things
