Hi, I'm Frank Haynes. I'm a veteran of the United States Navy and I've been making mouthwatering BBQ for the last 40 years. My family now has the chance to give some support to my fellow veterans through my cooking.
We have the chance to build a food truck to take our Sand Mountain Bootleggers BBQ out to the public and raise money for our favorite charities. 100% of the profits from our truck will go to The Gary Sinise Foundation, St Jude's, and a new charity to be established in honor of the wonderful gentleman who gave us the truck that will be converted to a mobile smokehouse and kitchen.
We have the truck and the labor to build it out is being donated by a few of my fellow veterans with the skills and abilities to do it right. All that's left is to raise the funds to purchase materials and equipment.
I've sourced the best prices I could find and it looks like it's going to cost between $8000-$10000 to get it done, start to finish. That's not something I can do out of pocket on my VA disability, so I'm asking for help.
We need things like stainless prep tables, cold prep table, steam table, refrigerator, generator. We need money to buy these things, or even donations of equipment. Whatever it takes!
I can't wait to start doing what I love and helping those who need it in the process!
