On January 29th, Latrece Miller and her family experienced a devastating tragedy when their home was destroyed in a fire during the early morning hours. The fire is believed to have been caused by a space heater, and in a matter of moments, their house—and nearly everything inside it—was lost.
Latrece is part of a family of six, and while we are incredibly grateful that everyone made it out safely, the emotional and financial impact of this loss is overwhelming. The family lost their home, clothing, furniture, and personal belongings—everything they depend on for daily life.
In the aftermath of this fire, Latrece and her family are facing the immediate challenges of finding temporary housing, replacing essential items, and beginning the long process of rebuilding their lives from the ground up. Even the smallest necessities—warm clothing, toiletries, food, and school or work essentials—now represent significant expenses.
Latrece is known as a caring, hardworking, and supportive individual, always willing to help others. Now, she is the one in need of support.
