The mountainous Sierra Norte de Puebla region - and the families of coffee farmers who work to make a living there - are too beautiful not to share! We will create an Agri-tourism center among the coffee fields that respectfully and authenically immerses visitors in the story of coffee farming and the glories and struggles that come with it.
The Agri-tourism center will provide a comfortable, gracious home-base in which to sleep, rest, eat and build relationships between excursions into learning about coffee farming, experiencing the local culture and heritage, and exploring the surrounding mountains, rivers and waterfalls.
The Agri-tourism center will employ local residents to provide safe transportation, delicious regional food, and hospitality services. The center will intentionally operate as an economically, culturally, environmentally sustainable and responsible presence in the area.
Your donation to this project will be stewarded by Coffee Growing Community (CGC), an American Non-Profit organization, serving Sierra Norte de Puebla coffee-farming communities since 2010. Funds will be used to purchase land and build the structure that will be the physical accommodations of the Agri-tourism center. CGC will work with local partners to assure that the project is accomplished successfully and effectively, and that it remains a welcome participant in the life of the community.
