Many of you know Vlad as a fun outgoing guy who enjoys life and a good time but also as a kind person and a loyal friend who always strives to help in any way he can and would never leave a friend in need.
Today Vlad needs our help as he is fighting for his life.
On Sunday, April 23 around 2 am Vlad was hit by a car while crossing the street in DC. As a result of this incident, he sustained serious injuries, including a skull fracture, a cervical spine injury - an injury in his neck, as well as a fracture in his lower back.
The traumatic brain injury that was caused by the blow to his head led to a large bleed and significant swelling of his brain that might require complicated surgery. He is currently on a ventilator - a machine that is helping him breathe until his condition improves.
Vlad also needs another surgery on his leg which was broken in many places once he becomes more stable. As of now he remains in Intensive Care Unit in critical condition and has a long way to recover and restore his functions.
Vlad has been the sole provider for his parents Juliia and Serhii Kuzmenko who arrived in the United States in September from Ukraine fleeing the Russian invasion.
Any funds raised to support Vlad will go directly into his Mom’s account and will help to cover his extensive medical expenses as well as essential expenses for his parents.
