🇵🇸 A Family of Five, Displaced Again
I’m Kali, and I want to introduce you to a family who has already lost their home once, rebuilt their lives, and now finds themselves displaced again.
This is a family of five living in Gaza: a mother Rasha, her husband Nidal Abu Zarifa, and their three children, Ismail, Mohammed, and Massa.
Their 9-year-old son Mohammed was born with spina bifida. He cannot walk and has no bladder or bowel control. Today, this child and his family are living in a tent in the Al-Mawasi area.
I want you to look beyond the word “displaced.” Imagine being a parent trying to care for three children while your home is a tent—and one of your children requires additional daily care.
This is why I’m sharing their story through my mission. Because these aren’t statistics. They are a family.
RASHAS MESSAGE
“My family consists of five people: me, my husband Nidal Abu Zarifa, Ismail, Mohammed, and Massa.
Mohammed is my 9-year-old son. He was born with spina bifida. He cannot walk and has no bladder or bowel control.
Before the war, I lived in a beautiful house, but I only lived there for one year because my old house was bombed in the 2014 war.
My children are Ismail, 11 years old; Mohammed, 9 years old; and Massa, 5 years old.
I am currently living in a camp in the Al-Mawasi area.”
CALLING TO ACTION
Now I’m asking you to stand with them.
This family needs help with the basic necessities of survival—food, clean water, hygiene supplies, shelter needs, and the medical and personal care required for Mohammed.
