My husband Native of( Afghanistan) filed I-130 in July 2023 after approval we transferred the case from Afghanistan to Pakistan because Afghanistan has no US embassy. We have waited almost 6 months for interview from Pakistan but unfortunately we didn't get interview letter because of backlog. Then decided to transfer case to third county which is Rwanda after the transfer his interview was scheduled in June 2024 Now he has been in administrative process since June 24th with no updates about our case. The interview went well with no documentation asked of him ,but they are verifying information on his visa application. It seems contradictory. This is an unreasonable delay .We are hitting walls. My husband has done everything to obtain a visa .We are also financially weak since my husband is in Kigali, Rwanda and can’t .Also his family is suffering too In Afghanistan, starving because no one can care for them and both my husband and I are limited.
We are needing a lawyer to do a mandamus but this is costly . Essentially the embassy will have to make the decision on our case quickly . Additionally we are asking for funds for my husband’s family while we wait for my husband to come home .
