A Heartfelt Appeal for Help: A Father’s Desperate Need to Keep His Family Together
Dear Friends,
We are reaching out to you with a heavy heart to help a dear friend of ours and a prominent member of our community. This man finds himself in a deeply challenging and urgent situation. For the past three years, he has been the primary caretaker for his four children as well as his father a 92 year old survivor of the Holocaust. They’ve been living together 24/7, and while their family bond is strong, the financial strain has become overwhelming.
He is a single father, without the extended familial support most families can rely on. He does have one sibling, but he too has his own large family, so he can only offer limited help. He is truly part of a small, unfortunate minority of single fathers, where there is little community support for their needs.

Unfortunately, his situation has now reached a critical point. His home is currently facing foreclosure, and he is struggling to keep up with bills and essential needs. We need to raise $60,000 immediately to stop the foreclosure and keep a roof over their heads.
To make matters even more difficult, this father has been battling long-lasting health issues caused by complications from Meningitis, which have prevented him from securing full-time employment.
This financial emergency isn’t just about the bills piling up—there are countless unforeseen challenges that have added pressure to an already strained situation. Over the past year, their basement flooded, their garage door broke, and they have had their water and phone services shut off multiple times due to lack of funds. Their power was threatened to be shut numerous times as well. The most painful part of it all has been the impact on the children. Imagine the distress of not being able to shower or do homework because they couldn’t afford basic utilities. They have been incredibly resilient, but the time has come to help them.
As mentioned, in addition to caring for his children, he also has the responsibility of caring for his 92-year-old father, a Holocaust survivor, who has been living with them since his mother passed away. His father, after everything he’s endured, should not have to suffer through this uncertainty.
The thought of them losing their home is unbearable. It would mean more than just a physical loss—it would mean losing the stability and sense of security that the mishpacha needs.
Despite all of this, they are not giving up hope. They believe that Hashem will help them through the power of the community, and we are turning to you in their time of need. We are hoping to raise the $60,000 necessary to save their home by August 24th. While this amount will help them through the immediate crisis, we are also hoping to secure additional support to ensure that they can avoid facing this again in the future, until the additional parnassa will Bezras Hashem come through.

Bezras Hashem we are hopeful that once the crisis passes this collection will not be needed in the future. Boruch Hashem the father is doing a bit better now and is with Mesiras Nefesh comitted to do all in his power to secure a Parnassa going forward.
