Naphtalie is a 30 years young woman from the Philippines. Naphtalie, I call her "Pau", is my dearest auntie. She is closer to my age than her older sister (my mother), and she has always been such a great sister figure for me. My biggest inspiration growing up as she is the smartest, talented, and funniest person I know.
Pau was a hardworker and she never learned to stop until this year. Her boss had to let her go due her health declining and encouraged her to see a doctor. After months of going through tests, she was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lmphoma. It was a huge heartbreak for our family to hear her diagnoses and we had hoped chemotherapy can help her beat this. Unfortunately, the recent round of chemo had caused her to weaken and end up in the ICU. She had no one else but my mother and I to support her.
Unfortunately, Naphtalie had passed away on November 11th. Leaving my mother and I to deeply grieve of her loss. We truly miss her warm presence, bright mind, and quirky humor.
Memorial has been thankfully paid off, but my mother is still struggling to pay off the remaining medical bills. I am devastated and upset that I am not with her in person to help her, nor do I have to funds to send home for her medical bills.
My name is Micaila and I am 23 years old living on my own in the US, far from my family. This is my way to being able to help my auntie. I hope and pray people can pitch in, even if it is $5, me and my mother will highly appreciate any amount to help pay the medical bills.
