Hello!
My name is Jimmy, neighborhood friendly school psychologist! As as school psychologist in a high school, I see so many students with so many different needs. Some experience anxiety, some experience depression, some have learning disabilities, and some have attention difficulties. Some students come by when they're having a great day, and some students come by when they're having their worst day. However, my goal in working with any student is to provide them the most comfortable and supportive environment possible.
What better way to offer therapeutic support than through the comfort of a canine? I am willing to share my office space with this 4-legged addition in hopes to provide a space that is accessible to all and better support students. One of the greatest pieces about a facility dog is that they can offer support in a variety of settings- so don't be surprised if you catch us elsewhere!
We've had some trouble matching with a pup due to our chaotic home life (2 young kids and 1 on the way); however, our time has come! That being said, in the time it's been since I had initially applied, fees have increased. Any support to help bring additional support into the school and community is much appreciated!
