I inherited a 2010 SRX in decent condition from a good friend who passed last year, unexpectedly.
The car had minor issues. I am homeless with 2 dogs , and have a suspended DL. Issues progressively got worse, but still nothing major.
I wasn't able to afford Insurance, tags and registration when it was due And got pulled over in Greenbrier,AR because my tags were expired. I just got a job offer interpreting for the deaf from home, that started the following Monday. Well I went to jail and my car was impounded. I got out 5 days later and more tickets were issued I cannot afford. It's a vicious cycle. Anyway , I lost the job opportunity, all my fault because of the lack of things I need to drive legally. That I could t Afford to catch up on in the first place. Again totally my fault.
I need help getting my car out of impound. It's almost have. I will get the registration, tags, insurance and work on getting my DL back with a hardship license for work only use.
It's going to be about $2,000.00 to get it out by Friday May 15, 2026.
It's all or nothing. I'll have to sign over the vehicle And STILL have to pay $150 for his "guys work they done on it" whatever that means. It was across the street from. The tow yard.
Please if, You can help I will keep those who want to know updated on everything related to the vehicle until I get it all straight. OR whoever can keep the car until I get it all sorted. Thank you for taking the time to read my story .
