Recently, my dad lost his home and everything he owned in a house fire. While we're beyond grateful that he made it out safely, the damage is total, and now we're facing the reality of starting from scratch.
There are significant costs ahead, including clearing the lot, removing debris, and beginning the process of rebuilding. On top of that, he needs to replace all the basics — clothing, furniture, kitchen items, and other daily essentials.
Although my dad was hesitant to do a fundraiser, the reality is he needs some help to ease the financial burden of rebuilding his life. He has always been a generous guy, who has been there for his family and friends, so I know his community will come together to help him in his time of need.
