On June 24th 2023, I was on my way to do laundry. I loaded my two laundry bags in my car that was parked in front of my house. I went back up to my then 3rd floor apartment to get my children. I loaded them in 1 at a time. My 5 year old son first in the middle. My 1 year old son on the back passenger side, then my 2 year old daughter street side. Buckling my daughter is usually the toughest because she fights with me. While buckling her in I could see from my peripheral vision something coming fast. I was unable to react in time. The very next thing I could remember, I was pinned in between an SUV and my back door. In pain, my vision clouded and in excruciating pain I screamed. I could hear my children screaming and crying "mommy, mommy". I was pulled from the wreck and placed on my porch. Firefighters then arrived and evaluated me and my children until ambulance were able to get to there. This accident was due to a negligent woman using her cell phone while driving. I found out this information from a witness stating The woman frantically crying she didn't see me due to looking at her phone. This woman was found at fault. However this wasn't all this nightmare had in store for me. It left me unable to work. I lost my car it was totaled. i became behind on all my bills. eventually lost my apartment. My children and I were displaced. Along with my medical issues due to the accident my anxiety is at an all time high when it comes to crossing streets or being around cars in general. I feel so lost with losing everything. becoming homeless with no help or support I'm trying to keep myself out of a dark place and continue to be strong for my children
