Dear friends,

I want to take a moment to update you on Krystal’s Hope and Healing Journey. It has been more than 6 months since she received the diagnosis, and she continues to battle this dreaded disease with a beautiful spirit, renewed strength and a loving heart.

Don’t get me wrong, the losses associated with cancer are deep and impact every aspect of one’s life – relationships are impacted, either being strengthened or strained (or both!); finances are severely tested and every expenditure must be carefully measured. In addition to cancer itself, the side effects of treatment such as dental and lymphedema needs increasing and impacting her overall health and wellbeing.

Krystal is researching medical care options. Recently, she was approved for evaluation and treatment at the Lynn Cancer Institute in Boca Raton. This represents an important step and a renewed opportunity for her care. With this opportunity come financial requirements that must be met before treatment can begin, and we are actively pursuing every available avenue, including grants and assistance programs.

The patient advocate has given her several grant applications to assist with this expense, and we are praying for FAVOR from those who have the ability to help. Time is of the essence for Krystal’s physical, emotional, relational and spiritual wellbeing!

If you feel led to continue walking alongside us during this time, whether through prayer, encouragement, or support, please know that it is received with deep gratitude. Every expression of love strengthens us more than you know.

We welcome your continued prayers! Will you pray with us:

  1. For Krystal’s healing and renewed strength to be firmly rooted in Christ.
  2. For wisdom and guidance for her medical journey and an excellent team.
  3. For peace to steady her heart as she receives love from family and friends.
  4. And for hope to remain constant as we move forward with clarity!
  1. For her relationships with her husband, her family, her friends, and those who are praying for her to be built up in faith, hope and love, the greatest of these is LOVE! (1 Corinthians 13)

I close this letter with a familiar Scripture to inspire us all with love and hope:

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound with HOPE.” Romans 15:13

Warmly in Christ,

Kim

P.S. I am praying this prayer from the Puritan Prayer Book over my life as well:

“The voyage is long, the waves high, the storms pitiless, but my helm is held steady, thy Word secures safe passage, thy grace wafts me onward, my haven is guaranteed.

This day will bring me nearer home, grant me holy consistency in every transaction, my peace flowing as a running tide, my righteousness as every chasing wave. HELP me to live circumspectly, with skill to convert every care into prayer,

Halo my path with gentleness and love, smooth every asperity of temper; let me not forget how easy it is to occasion grief; may I strive to bind up every wound, and pour oil on all troubled waters.

May the world this day be happier and better because I live.

Let my mast before me be the Savior’s cross, and every oncoming wave the fountain in His side. Help me, protect me in the moving sea until I reach the shore of unceasing praise.”

Thank you for loving her. Thank you for believing in her. Thank you for standing with us.

**Update from Kim Kerr January 2026**

Dear friends,

As you may remember, our Hope and Healing Journey began just under 5 months ago when Krystal received a diagnosis of cancer in August 2025.

Since that time she has bravely fought against this dreaded disease with medical treatments, improved her diet and physical health care. But above all else, she has humbly sought God's help. And the Lord has graciously been with her AND opened the door🚪for her to receive an evaluation from Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, the first week of February 2026!!

Moffitt Cancer Center is renowned for excellent and cutting edge treatments. We are thrilled about this opportunity! And we are fervently praying for God's grace and healing 🙏🏽. The cost of medical treatments in preparation, at Moffitt plus travel costs total approximately $3,000.

If you feel led to help, we would be most grateful! And the greatest gift of all will be your faithful prayers for each need and every blessing God has in store 🙌🏽

"Once again you will have all the food you need, and you will praise the Lord your God, who does these miracles for you." Joel 2:26

With Love and Gratitude,

Kim and Krystal

Over the past months, so many of you have carried me through one of the hardest seasons of my life. Your prayers, financial gifts, meals, and encouragement have sustained me in ways I will never forget. I have felt covered and deeply supported.

Today, I’m asking you to look in a different direction.

My mom.

For 35 years, she has faithfully served as a missionary, pouring into women, discipling, mentoring, and walking alongside those rebuilding their lives. Many of you have experienced her prayers, her counsel, and her quiet strength firsthand. She has never asked for attention. She simply served.

Now she is approaching a season where she should be stepping into her golden years — a time of rest after decades of giving her life away to ministry. Instead, she has quietly dipped into her retirement savings to make sure I have what I need: medication, living expenses, travel costs, and the many gaps that insurance does not cover.

She has done this willingly. That is who she is. But I do not want her retirement depleted because of my illness. I would rather fight through this season than watch her sacrifice everything she worked for.

Many of you have supported me generously. I will never take that lightly. I don’t ever want anyone to feel that their generosity has been taken advantage of. Every gift has been stewarded carefully and used exactly for what it was given.

As I continue treatment, I am broadening the scope of my medical care and will be remaining in West Palm Beach for an extended period of time to pursue additional options and consultations. We also had an appointment scheduled at Moffitt Cancer Center, but after testing positive for both COVID and the flu, that visit had to be postponed. They require a negative PCR test and a three-week gap before rescheduling. It wasn’t the news we hoped for, but we are moving forward patiently and responsibly.

This road is longer than we anticipated. The financial impact is real.

If my mom has impacted your life through her ministry over the past 35 years — or if you have stood with me in this season — I humbly ask you to consider pouring into our journey. Any financial support will go toward replenishing what she has used to help me, AND continuing forward in our Hope and Healing Journey 💜 together.

If you are able to give, we are deeply grateful. If you can pray, that matters just as much.

Thank you for standing with our family.

With gratitude,

Krystal
