Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
We are reaching out to you today during the most challenging chapter our family has ever faced. Our beloved Christie is currently in the hospital fighting a severe battle with cancer. We are doing everything we can to support her through this difficult time and navigate her medical care.
Christie’s husband, Johnnie (known to everyone as Monkey), and her son, Jacob, run their own small business, Wealot and Sons Construction. Because it is just the two of them doing all the hard labor, taking care of Christie, attending endless hospital stays, and driving her to appointments has meant missing a devastating amount of work. As a result, both of our family households are falling critically behind on basic bills, mortgages, and utilities.
To make matters worse, we have suffered a catastrophic string of mechanical failures. We are down three vehicles all at once:
The Ford F-250 work truck (blown head gasket)
The Honda CR-V used for grocery runs, errands, and getting our young son to his appointments (blown head gasket)
The GMC truck (burned through two wiring harnesses)
Right now, we are down to just one single family van to handle everything—including transport for Christie when she is out of the hospital. Without the F-250 work truck, Jacob and Monkey cannot physically get to job sites to earn a living, creating a painful cycle we cannot break on our own.
Wealot and Sons Construction is built on hard work and pride, and the guys are used to doing the heavy lifting themselves. Right now, the weight is simply too much to carry alone. We need our community to help us lift this burden so Jacob and Monkey can focus on being by Christie's side without losing everything they’ve built.
Our immediate financial goals for this fundraiser are:
To cover the urgent repair costs for the F-250 work truck so the guys can get back to work sites.
To repair the CR-V so our son has safe, reliable transportation.
To catch up on the overdue household bills and utilities for both homes while income is paused.
Every dollar goes directly toward keeping our houses running and our tools moving. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing our story with local builder networks, suppliers, church groups, or friends.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, prayers, and support during this time.
