Hello,
My name is Henry and my dog is Ranger. My gofundme goal is to raise money for Ranger's surgery. My dog does not have an insurance. He has 2 surgeries to undergo, he was done with the first and waiting for the second one. Ranger was hit by a car on May 11, 2023. The extent of his injuries on his right hind leg was; a big open wound, which the Doctors managed to stitch up on the day of the accident, and fractures on his ankle (most severe one) and toes. The surgery on those fractured bones is what Ranger needed most, especially the ankle because if it cannot be done, he will be suffering in pain and might not be able to walk the way he was.
Ranger has been a part of our family for a very long time. We got him on June 26, 2012, and since then, he has been the protector of our family. He was able to save my mom and our house from two robbers on April 24, 2014, who tried to break into our house. It happened around 11:00 AM when my mom was asleep in the basement from night duty when they (bad guys) tried to open up the porch door but were unable to fully open it because of the safety stick placed along the rail. Ranger noticed the cracking of the door and went up and started barking them which created loud noises enough to alert my mom, our neighbors, and drove the bad guys away.
Ranger would also help us with the groceries by picking up the small items in the car and taking them in the house, and carrying the mail. Ranger can be described as an active and lovely dog. He loves playing with children, as well as other dogs too. And he would always be happy if he sees visitors stop by our house and he loves to be pet by them.
What happened to Ranger now makes us more determined to pay him back for what he has done to us so he can live longer.
