Running the NYC Marathon has always been a dream of mine, and doing it again this year holds a special place in my heart. Growing up, my family faced food insecurity, so partnering with WhyHunger means the world to me. I've lived in Carmichael, California, and witnessed firsthand how even small acts of kindness can ripple out to create real change. This marathon isn't just about the miles—it's about channeling that community spirit onto a global stage where it can help tackle hunger and famine around the world.
Training has been a journey, waking up at dawn for long runs that test my endurance and resolve. With each step, I think about families who, like mine once did, worry about their next meal. This deeply personal connection fuels my drive to raise $4,000 for WhyHunger’s incredible work. Every early morning jog transforms into a mission to make a tangible impact.
I'm inspired by the belief that together, we can create hope and change. Knowing the struggles faced by many, this challenge is about more than just crossing a finish line; it’s about reaching out to others and standing up against the crises affecting countless lives.
