Nickolas spent 4 years in North Carolina and made it through high school!
We couldn't be prouder.
He had a tough time fitting in and keeping up... but he persevered and accomplished.
He chose to leave mom's house and give dad's the respect he thought it deserved. Nick became lost. Nick became the parent. He unfortunately wasn't given the tools for success during those years and now mom is trying to help him grow into the man he should be. We took him home with us after graduation because we noticed he was depressed and pulling his hair out on one side of his head. The spark in his eyes is gone. Nick needs to believe that there is hope in this world and a start to a story he can write.
Our world is small here, but filled with love and unconditional support, which is what was missing during those high school years.
We are asking for help putting Nickolas through driving school ($600) so that he can get his permit and eventual license. Nick would like to pursue a career in construction and a 12- week program ($1000) would be his first step towards adulthood and setting his feet in the right direction. We are helping our boy along the way as best we can but adding these new goals, we didn't realize would be an added cost and we don't want Nickolas to lose momentum.
I have never done this before, but now I'm a mother who is stressing out about her baby boy's way in this world.
We have an old car we'd love to buy a battery for and his step dad would love to get it running for him (300,000 miles) and we'd love to see him either place a deposit on an apartment (when he's steady income and ready) or be able to buy a new car at some point, with a small down payment.
All monies raised will go directly to help him reach these small adult goals so that he can continue to set himself up for a successful life.
If you are able, please show some love to a hurting soul who is trying to make a way.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
Jaclyn
