Support Diane — A Bartender Who’s Always Taken Care of Everyone Else

If you’ve ever been lucky enough to sit at Diane’s bar, you know she’s more than just a bartender. She’s a true professional who takes pride in her craft, remembers your drink, listens to your story, and hustles. Diane doesn’t just work hard—she cares deeply about taking care of people, night after night.

Now, Diane is facing something she never expected—and she needs your help.

Diane has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and is currently undergoing treatment and recovery. Because of this, she has had to step away from the job she loves to focus on her health.

To make matters even more challenging, Diane’s husband, Rob, is self-employed and has had to cut back his hours to care for her during this critical time. His decision to be by her side—while absolutely necessary—means an additional loss of income, adding even more financial strain during an already overwhelming situation.

Medical bills, rent, utilities, groceries, transportation, and other basic living expenses are quickly adding up. Instead of focusing solely on healing, Diane and Rob are facing the stress of how to cover the essentials while both are unable to work as they normally would.

This fundraiser is meant to help bridge that gap—to give Diane the ability to focus on her health, her strength, and her recovery, and to allow Rob to care for her without the constant fear of falling behind financially.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping Diane and Rob cover essential living expenses while Diane undergoes treatment and waits for her benefits to kick in. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser or sending words of encouragement is deeply appreciated.

Diane has spent years taking care of others. Now it’s our turn to take care of her.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.

Hello everyone,

I’ve struggled to find the right words for a final thank you for this fundraiser. It’s hard to describe the experience of going from feeling so vulnerable, afraid, and uncertain to being met with so much love and support from all of you. It’s overwhelming in the best possible way.

There were moments when it didn’t feel real, and still, in other ways, we live with what happened every day. But right now, I can say something I will never take for granted: I am cancer free.

Your support made a real difference in this journey. It helped soften some of the sharp edges that come with a diagnosis like this and made many of the hardest decisions easier to bear.

We will never be able to fully express our gratitude. Words simply don’t cover it. Every card, email, phone call, text, donation, flower, and meal mattered. Each one brought a moment of care and connection into our daily lives and reminded us that we were not going through this alone.

Those moments of support often brought tears, but they were the kind that helped heal more than they hurt.

Thank you for carrying us through this chapter with such kindness. It would have been infinitely harder without all of you.

With deep gratitude and love,

Diane and Rob

I’m feeling a bit queasy—in the best way. This kind of generosity is something I’ve never experienced before. Your love, compassion, and kind words mean more to me than I can fully express.

We are both deeply grateful and profoundly touched by your support. Thank you for being there for us during this challenging time. It’s humbling, and it reminds us how lucky we are to be surrounded by such care.

With love,
Diane and Rob
