A note from Tyler:
I have known Andrew for many years and have personally watched him battle with his own body on a daily basis. Knowing bits and pieces of his situation, and seeing his struggles, as Andrew is not the type of person that asks for help, I have decided to put this together (with help of Andrew and some of his beloved friends). Below is his story:
My Body Is Failing Me ā But Iām Still Fighting for My Wife and 3 Kids
I never imagined I would be in this positionāasking for help just to keep my family afloat.
For years, Iāve been battling severe and worsening health problems that have completely changed our lives. What began as digestive issues slowly turned into multiple major surgeries, chronic pain, emergency hospitalizations, and ongoing complications that doctors still cannot fully explain.
Since 2023, Iāve undergone GERD surgery, an ileostomy, a total colectomy, hernia repairs, gallbladder removal, and emergency surgery after my intestine became trapped and twisted through a surgical defect.
During that emergency, my body began shutting down. I lost feeling in my arms and legs, struggled to breathe, and truly believed I might not survive.
Even now, my health continues to decline.
I live with constant nerve pain, muscle weakness, numbness, severe digestive problems, and episodes that leave me barely able to function. Some nights I wake up unable to move my arms or legs. I spend most days fighting exhaustion, pain, and fear while waiting months to see specialists who may finally have answers.
The physical toll has been devastatingābut the financial toll has been just as overwhelming.
Iāve missed so much work because of my health. Weāve drained our savings, relied on credit cards, sold our home, and are now facing bankruptcy just trying to survive. My wife is working hard to hold everything together, but it still isnāt enough.
Through all of this, my biggest fear isnāt for myselfāitās for my family. My wife and our three children are my entire world. They are the reason I keep fighting, even on the days my body feels completely broken. But I can no longer carry this burden alone.
We are asking for help to cover basic living expenses, rent, utilities, food, medical bills, and ongoing care while Andrew continues fighting for his health and for his family.
If you are able to donate, share this fundraiser, or simply keep us in your prayers, it would mean more than words can express. Every act of kindness gives us a little more hope, a little more stability, and the ability to keep going.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read our story.
