My name is Agnes Saint Preux and I am a small business owner of a Licensed Homemaker and Companion Agency in Broward County.
We accept donations whether monetary or physical donations of new/used clothing, shoes, books, purses, computers, laptops, ipads etc for our Adult Day Training Program.
The Canaan Center ADT a place for adults with disabilities to learn employment skills and for those with severe disabilities to partake in meaningful activity throughout the day. This type of service is often called Vocational Rehabilitation or Adult Day Training. Most of our participants are diagnosed with autism, spina bifida, down syndrome, or have a mental/intellectual disability. For more than a year, the pandemic has caused many Adult Day Training Centers to close their doors and many adults with disabilities who relied on these programs have not had any type of social interaction and have even fallen into a depressive state on top of their condition, because of the disruption of the pandemic from their day-to-day activities. Imagine how hard it was for students to transition to school at home. Well imagine a person with a disability!
I am asking YOU to support my journey by helping me raise $5,000 for our students which will cover 3 computers, 2 laptops, 3 ipads, a shredding and scanning machine, computer chairs, activity tables and classroom chairs. If you are not able to donate monetary, feel free to stop by our center and drop off donations of clothing, shoes, books, art supplies, etc. ANYTHING is greatly appreciated and we can also provide you with a tax write off if needed.
These items listed will help us provide efficient and effective employment training for our participants throughout the day.
